Being comfortable with who is in and working on your home is super important, so let’s get to know the owner! For those of you who don’t already know him, meet Erik!
10 Random facts about Erik:
1. Before opening his company, Erik was a nurse who specialized in putting in PICC lines.
2. Erik has a passion for helping those in need. Among many ways he loves to help, he has gone on two missions trips to Africa.
3. Erik loves dogs, particularly his trusty, old, black lab, Sampson and toy poodle, shadow, Marina.
4. Erik finds a great deal of joy music. He has a music degree. He has an awesome voice, and he can play numerous instruments exceptionally. He almost named the company Rhythm and Renovations 
5. Erik is an avid swimmer. He will go swimming even when it’s cold out and the water is even colder.
6. The name, Sunflower Remodeling LLC was chosen because it is his wife Kelsea‘s favorite flower. The man has a romantic side.
7. Erik has 2 sons. Eli and Ben. Playing with his mini besties brings out the child in him.
8. Erik grew up going to Galway Lake and has an adoration for all things lake related like kayaking, canoeing, fishing, etc..
9. He loves fitness and particularly enjoys participating in things like Spartan races with family and friends.
10. Erik is a huge New York Giants fan, and can be found obsessing over his fantasy football team all season long
The Story of Our Name
The Story of Our Name
The Sunflower became my wife Kelsea’s favorite flower around 11 years ago during a very pivotal point in her life. It stuck out to her for its “positive positive happy vibe, strength, and resilience,” which were things she newly was beginning to relate to at that time. Throughout the years, during low moments, sunflowers just appeared out of nowhere. Once while on a train to Pisa Italy, she was consumed with the heaviness of her life, and then all of a sudden, the landscape out the window turn to sunflowers for miles, and miles. Another time lost in fear and anxiety, she spotted a sunflower growing in the midst of a concrete sidewalk in the city. They became a symbol to her of God‘s faithfulness in the storm, and that even though everything feels like it’s falling apart, God has a plan. Sunflowers became the theme of our wedding and are now scattered through our home decor. They have such a depth of meaning to my wife and now me. It seemed only fitting to name our business this, especially because it was quite a figurative storm we were facing when the business formed back in 2021.
